![]() Lately I have been feeling like I'm being pulled in too many directions, just with sewing, not to mention the rest of my life :-) The main parts of my business are making cards, making kits and patterns, teaching classes, and making art quilts. The art quilts are what I like to do the most, but that is what gets put to the back burner the most also, mostly because the other areas are more profitable, unfortunately. My recent trip to Denali Park and seeing Ree Nancarrow's quilts plus this raven one by Karin Franzen has given me the itch to put more time into my own art quilting. It's the middle of my busiest season though, so we'll see.... I took lots of pictures, so plenty of ideas are brewing! The second picture is another one of Ree Nancarrow's, also in the park. I got the package slip for the monstrous fabric order I have been waiting for, so watch tomorrow for a picture of the coolest fabric package ever! :-) It's torture to wait another day, but I guess I'm glad a bazillion dollars worth of fabric didn't fit in the mailbox....

Beret Nelson's On The Trail Creations Blog PageBeret NelsonI am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing! After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now designing kits and patterns. Some of them have even been in Keepsake Quilting! I teach classes at local quilt shops, and am starting to do more traveling and teaching. I also have many tutorials, including some on YouTube. I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am surrounded by the inspiration provided by the beauty of God's creation! Sign up for blog updates and get a free pattern!
