This kit contains everything you need (except thread) to complete this project, including beautiful hand dyed fabric from Starr Design Fabrics, batik fabric, fusible fleece (instead of batting) fusible web, and even backing fabric! Having all this in the kit saves you time and money. Less running around to get supplies means you can get right to sewing. There is no curved piecing. The free motion stitching does add a lot, but it is not necessary. The decorative stitches also add a lot, but it can be done without those as well.

I've always loved gnomes (called Nisse in Scandinavia) and have been playing around with a few quilt design ideas for a while, and finally have one. Who knows, maybe there will more in the future.
