Description
This kit contains almost everything you need to complete this project, including beautiful hand dyed fabric from Starr Design Fabrics, batik fabric, fusible fleece (instead of batting), and even backing fabric! You will still need fusible web and thread. Having all this in the kit saves you time and money. Less running around to get supplies means you can get right to sewing. There is no curved piecing. There is some free motion stitching for the trees and the shadows, video tutorials are available on our website! For thread, I used light gray, dark gray, purple, dark blue, variegated metallic for the sky, and light blue. A regular school glue stick is very helpful also, the purple kind is fine. This design was inspired by moonlit winter nights at our home in Fairbanks, Alaska. The full moon can be so bright shining on the snow that you don't even need a light to walk out in the woods. I love seeing the winter moon here in Fairbanks, Alaska, because it reflects the sun, which we don't see a lot of! It's a reminder that it is still there, and has its own beauty :-)
