It finally is starting to feel like fall here! And fall here always means rain and mushrooms.... With all the moving, I haven't had time to finish a new design, (although there are lots in the works), but I decided I DID have time to make an alternate design for the Autumn Leaves kits! The kits (and patterns) will come with both applique options, but it's still enough to make ONE wall hanging or table runner, I hope that's not confusing! The appliques don't take a lot of fabric, so I'm including them both. All kits but pillow covers are still 25% off, (Plus a free surprise card pattern, AND free shipping) and now the two Autumn Leaves kits will automatically come with the leaf AND the mushroom options for appliques. I don't have a sample of the wall hanging one yet, I even cheated and had my son photoshop the table runner.... For the practice piece, I just did one round of stripes with the corner squares from the table runner, and discovered I had made a cute potholder! So that would be a good use of the applique fabrics that you don't end up using. And these all have the same fabrics, it's the lighting that's different in the photos.... Happy Sewing!

If I move my shop, I will have room for classes again, but I think I will focus on kids' classes there since it's on the second floor, and teach adult classes at the quilt shops.  Never a dull moment for us around here! It's been a whole 5 weeks since we moved, so we thought we should do it again, right?! We have the opportunity to move into a larger and nicer space in the same building we are in, with room for classes, and water for things like painting, dyeing, and silk screening! I would love to focus on kids' classes in this space, since it's on the second floor, and teach adult classes at the local quilt shops. We're getting ready to schedule some at Northern Threads now, so get on their mailing list if you want to stay informed. Comment below with ideas for kid friendly class projects! Yay! A young girl who has been sewing with me got not one, but TWO Grand Champion ribbons at the fair on projects I helped her make :-) (A little wall hanging, which they hung upside down, and a potholder) The biggest bummer about my new space is lack of room for classes, but we have a possible opportunity to move down the hall to a bigger one. (It's been 5 weeks, it's not too soon to move again, right? 😂😂) Look for a sale coming soon, since we may be looking to raise money for that option! I'd love to have kids' classes especially! For adult classes, I'm still planning to teach at Northern Threads quilt shop, so sign up for their mailing list if you are not on it!
I ran out of both of these great panels by Teresa Ascone, but they are back in stock! The Setting Sun panel is only available through us for 2017.  I always love it when people send pictures of their projects!
