Description
This kit contains everything you need (except thread) to complete this project, including beautiful hand dyed fabric from Starr Design Fabrics, batik fabric, fusible fleece (instead of batting) fusible web, and even backing fabric! Having all this in the kit saves you time and money. Less running around to get supplies means you can get right to sewing. There is no curved piecing. The free motion stitching does add a lot, but it is not necessary. The decorative stitches also add a lot, but it can be done without those as well. The batik fabric (there's only one) may vary from the photo, but will have the same overall look. It's a fairly quick and very fun project! For thread, I used green, brown, teal, and gold. A regular school glue stick is very helpful also, the purple kind is fine. Living in Fairbanks, Alaska and regularly seeing moose and spruce trees around our house helped inspire this design. |
