I have been pretty quiet on here lately, too busy getting ready for the open house for my shop! It is going to be on Friday, October 9, from 5-8 pm. Local people, it is located at 3055 College Rd, right next door to the Material Girls quilt shop. You will be able to see our new home, and find out all the different things that will be happening there, I can't wait to get going! I have not been doing much sewing, partly because my stuff is currently spread between home and the shop. But last weekend my mom needed an emergency bag made for one of her carved puzzles. I scavenged what was left at home, which turned out to be quite a challenge, and came up with this quick bag. (And eventually I should have some of her carvings in the retail section of my shop!) Also, the fall sale ends at the end of the month, only a few days left! Fall is about done here too, winter storm watch for tomorrow!! Fall sale: buy both fall kits and save $20! As I was staring at a pile of Starr fabrics one day, suddenly some of them looked like ice cream to me, so this is what happened. It was a fun little project, but I'm not sure what I will do with it. That is usually how I get my ideas, they just strike... That's great when they do, and not so great when they don't! I am still working on some new designs, but nothing has come together all the way yet! We are also still getting moved into the shop, we have an open house planned for Friday, Oct, 9 for anyone local! Also, the Autumn Leaves quilt set sale is still on until the end of the month, save $20 by buying both of them; click either photo to order: It seems like we have had the longest summer ever here in Alaska, but fall is definitely coming now. We have had a bit of frost, and the leaves are turning. We went for a drive in the mountains last weekend, and much of the tundra was already past peak colors! We had some snow flurries in Denali Park during breakfast, and the snow was farther down the mountains that morning than it had been the night before. It's the perfect time to start making your fall decorations! Click either photo to get to the sale, both for $77 instead of $97!
