I finally got back around to playing with Photoshop and Transfer Artist Paper (TAP) this morning. I edited a photo of a fireweed blossom in Photoshop, then printed it on the TAP and ironed it onto PFD (prepared for dyeing) fabric. Then I layered it with some batting and interfacing and added some stitching. I was trying to make it look like a painted flower, but it still looks a lot like a photo to me, what do you think?

I'm trying to generate more 'likes' for my Facebook page, so now through Wednesday, March 26 I am giving a free downloadable pattern of your choice to anyone who likes my page. Please leave a comment on this post telling me which one you want, which will automatically give me your e-mail address to send the pattern to without you having to post it publicly. (You DO NOT have to put your e-mail in the comment, just in the box, which won't show publicly. Also, I won't use it for anything else or share it!) Of course, I would love it if you share my website or Facebook page on yours, but I am not making it a requirement, too much to keep track of :-) If you have already 'liked' my page, you can get a pattern by sharing instead. To recap: 1. like my Facebook page (button on sidebar to the right, NOT the button at the bottom of the post, that just likes this post) 2. leave a comment below to tell me which pattern you want. (click here to see them) If I get a lot, it may take me a while to get them all out, please be patient :-) It will come as a PDF attachment. We had a great quilting retreat last weekend, and I finally got 60 cards made. They are already mostly gone though, so I'm still not as caught up as I'd like to be! Too many irons in the fire, we are working on getting printed patterns available on the website, a new crane wall quilt pattern is almost ready, and I have some classes going on too. The printed patterns are available now to quilt shops, send me an e-mail if you are interested in those!
