Still room in next week's wall hanging class! If you have wanted to try one of my wall hanging kits with me standing there to help, here's your chance :-) This class is Saturday, Oct. 1, from 1-4. The cost is $25 plus whichever kit you want, they range from $38-$59. You will need to bring several colors of thread, so please get with me ahead of time to pick up your kit if you don't already have one. If my new hours don't work for you (see below) give me a call (907-687-7603) and we'll figure something out. You can sign up for the class at my shop, or on my website, here:
I'm looking forward to doing the same class the following weekend (Sunday, Oct.9) in Anchorage at the Quilt Tree too! http://www.quiltree.com/guest-teacher-classes.html
There is also a quilted book cover class coming up on Oct. 22, 1-4 pm. Those are really fun to make! They are also a fairly good beginner project, but lots of room for creativity for all levels.
And, I am changing my shop hours a bit starting this week. I plan to be there from 12-4 Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 12-7 on Fridays.
Happy sewing!! Beret
I always love if when facebook/blog followers come to town and I get to meet them! This week it was Nancy Krehlik, who happened to also be the winner of the "name that pattern" contest for the Night Owl pattern. I almost missed my chance at a photo, I didn't think of it until after she had left, but hoped I could still catch her at the quilt shop next door. Not there either, but they thought she had just gone out the back door, so I ran and caught her on her way out the driveway! :-) Thanks Nancy, for stopping by, and letting me take your picture! :-)

I am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing! After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now designing kits and patterns. Some of them have even been in Keepsake Quilting! I teach classes at local quilt shops, and would love to do more traveling and teaching eventually. I also have many tutorials, including some on you tube. I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am surrounded by the inspiration provided by the beauty of God's creation!
