I'm playing with my new phone and app again, I'm pretty excited about the possibilty of doing posts from my phone... I have been having trouble keeping up with social media! This way it does my blog, fb, and twitter all at once.
I have been wanting to try the One Block Wonder technique for awhile, and finally at least got it started... If you are not familiar with this process, you start with 6 repeats of a large print fabric, stacked on top of each other as exactly as possible. I used a panel, so finding the repeat was done for me, but they weren't all printed straight, so it was hard to get them to line up... But then you cut the whole thing into equilateral (all angles 60 degrees) triangles, any size will work. Then each stack gets made into a hexagon. If you make the 2 halves of each hexagon separately for now there is a way to avoid 'y' seams; I'll have to post that when I get there! Each hexagon has three options also, depending on which point you put in the center. I forgot to take a picture of the original fabric until after I had cut it up, so I had to put the puzzle back together :-) Also, I put a pin in each triangle so they all stayed together and lined up. So many fun possibilities with this method!

If I can do blog posts from my phone, maybe it will happen more often! It hasn't let me yet, so if you are reading this, I got it to work!
