I always like making book covers, and this was a custom order for a Bible cover. She came in and put a bunch of fabrics and embellishments in a tub to give me a head start! There is a free tutorial for how to make these under the tutorials tab, or click here! Also, don't forget about classes, there are several scheduled, although the page does need updating, hopefully today! And, our newest card pattern, just in time for Valentine's Day, a Wonky Heart Greeting card! Click the photo to purchase, either download or print form. Click the other photo to see the rest of our kits and patterns!

I'm always in the middle of lots of new designs, but finally several are close to finishing, hopefully there will be more soon! I haven't even done a card pattern in a while, so that was kind of fun! And I had my daughter make a sample, she definitely added a bit of teenager touch to it, ha! (She didn't really want to follow instructions, but it turned out so cool I put it on the cover :-) ) Still hoping for one more Valentine-ish one soon too. This one is available in either download or print form. And, this Teresa Ascone panel is not exclusive to my shop, it is available at other shops as well, but it is gorgeous, I can't wait to get a chance to make a sample quilt out of one of them! Click on either photo to order, or go to the 'store' tab to see all of our kits and patterns. Only time for a quick post, but I always love it when people send me photos of projects they have made using my kits or patterns! I always hope my designs will be a springboard for people to try creating designs of their own. This is quite a bit different from the Moonlight Moose! (Or could be the Autumn Leaves upside down too!) This one was made by Sharon, with quail on it, which is so cute. Great job Sharon! I'm still working on the pattern and kit for the Teresa Ascone panel, but the first batch I ordered sold out the first week! I have more now though! And several classes listed on the classes page too! I hope everyone had a great Christmas season! It was a bit of a whirlwind for me, and several things I was working on were gifts, so I couldn't post about them! Now I can, but first, I have a fun announcement! I have been a fan of Alaskan artist Teresa Ascone for awhile, so I was very excited when she announced she was having an exclusive panel program for Alaskan shops this year! Our panel is called "Setting Sun', it was very hard to choose! It is available now under our 'store' tab, or click the photo...the pattern and kit for my sample project (photo below) should be coming soon! I have been having fun with panels lately anyway, since a customer ordered 16 little panel quilts for Christmas! They are a great way to practice some free motion quilting. This panel is approximately 13 x 9 inches including a 3/4 inch border. Also, we finally got a bunch of classes scheduled! Check out the classes page! Here are a few more projects from before Christmas! The wolf is a copy of a page out of a children's book called Great Wolf and the Good Woodsman. (copyrighted, I'm sure, so not selling it) I knew my mom liked the artwork in the book, so I made a page into a wall quilt. I had a few adventures with that one...I accidentally traced all of the reflection trees in reverse! I hadn't fused the applique parts on yet, so I got a new piece of fabric for the front, put my traced one on the back, (which reversed it) and did the main outlines from the back. Problem solved with no retracing!! :-) I then used some silk screen ink to color them silver.
The ear bud holders are great, they don't get tangled up! Each member of our family got one of those. The third picture is a panel quilt for my husband's office. And, last but not least, new leashes for the dogs :-) |
