I spent the day cutting fabric for the two new kits, they should be ready this week! I did 54 yards today, yikes! And I have a few more pieces to do, but we're almost there. And, thanks to Rosalie Coombs in the UK for sending a picture of her Moonlight Moose wall hanging, it turned out great! I always love to see pictures!

Thanks to everyone who has participated in my 'find new quilt shops' promotional. Congratulations to Diane for earning a free kit, and welcome to Keama's Quilts in Green River, WY, they are the newest shop to carry our products, or will be as soon as they get their order, ha! :-) I had a great quilting retreat last weekend, and met my goal of making 100 cards, although most of them still need binding. I had a great spot in front of a window, overlooking a lake and great sunsets! Thank you to everyone who participated in the kit naming contest! There were lots of good ideas, but the prize goes to Kelli Chapman-Ruthruff, who guessed close to the one I was already thinking of, "Serenity". Congratulations, you will get a kit when they are ready, which will hopefully be in a few weeks! And here is a newer sample. Very similar, but a few small changes from the original quilt, which I no longer have. There is some thread painting on it, which I hope you will try, but I will have a couple of options for variations as well! I will also plan to have some videos showing how to stitch the irises and the cool pebble quilting as well. And thanks to everyone who has given me recommendations for quilt shops, keep them coming! See the home page for info on how you can earn a free kit of your choice by helping me find new shops. I have had a lot of requests for a kit similar to this quilt, but I thought it had too much thread painting on it. I finally decided to do it anyway! I think more people are getting motivated to try that these days. There will be a couple of options if you don't want to do the extra stitching, and some video tutorials if you do. I have a name in mind, BUT I thought I would ask anyway, and if you come up with a better one, or the same one and I still decide to use it, you will get a free kit! (The first person only with that suggestion :-) ) Comment on the blog post or facebook post to make a suggestion. I'm hoping to have this kit out in about a month. Also, remember to check the home page for how you can earn a free kit by helping me find quilt shops to sell my kits and patterns. It helps a lot if a real person tells them about me! AND, our table runner kit sale is supposed to be done, but as usual, no one has time to take it down yet, so if you hurry you might still be able to get in on it :-) And, last, but not least, remember to sign up for our newsletter, in the sidebar to the right. As always, feel free to share! Many of our designs are available in either kit, printed pattern, or downloadable pattern form.
