I've been meaning for awhile now to check out getting some plexiglass cut for custom templates. I finally did it last night at Lowe's, and boy am I excited! These are mostly for my new kits, but I had a couple of card ones made too. Very hard to photograph something clear, unfortunately, but they are great! And the cutting was free, I just had to buy the plastic. They also had some scrap pieces around and just gave me those for free! I ended up with 9 custom templates, up to 22 inches long, for less than the cost of one or two good rulers from the store...wow. I started with the ones that didn't have to be "ruler perfect", but the guy was doing such a great job I had him do the more accurate ones too! I imagine it depends on who you get...
Beret Nelson's On The Trail Creations Blog Page
I am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing! After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now designing kits and patterns. Some of them have even been in Keepsake Quilting! I teach classes at local quilt shops, and am starting to do more traveling and teaching. I also have many tutorials, including some on YouTube. I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am surrounded by the inspiration provided by the beauty of God's creation!
