 I finally got to make something other than cards! I need a better picture, it's too sunny out here today :-) Looking at a photo of my quilts is a good way to find where it can be improved...the caribou needed a bit more contrast, my usual problem... I like this style though, since I'd much rather make fun backgrounds than foregrounds, this way it's mostly background :-) Now back to cards... update: it got cloudy so I took another picture, the caribou is slightly better, but the colors are not... :-) I need one of my kids to learn more about photography! :-)

I actually LOVE the way the caribou blends into the landscape. Looks very natural !!

Extraordinary! As a card maker, (sometimes) painter & lover of nature, this is inspiring in so many ways. Beautiful work! You painted the thread to match the colors?

I’m wondering if this comment was intended for my blog post from today with the black eyed susans? If so, not sure how it got on this one 😁 You brought up a great point… I assume people know that thread painting means painting with thread, rather than painting thread 😁 But if you hadn’t learned that, painting thread would be more intuitive 😅 I need to make sure I’m not assuming people know obscure art quilty definitions 😅 Leave a Reply. |
