I've been wanting to make a new sample quilt for my free motion quilting classes for awhile, and I finally got an idea for a pretty quick and easy, but still fun one! I just made several shapes and filled in each one with a different color and design. I designed mine on the computer, but you could even go around your house and look for different sizes of plates and boxes to trace to make the shapes. I went around the outlines twice so they would show up better. I never got a great photo, that's something I still need to learn more about. If I could get the quilting to show up, the fabric looks blue...if the fabric looks white, which it is, the thread started to disappear...
See my "Free Motion Fun!" page for more quick or advanced free motion ideas! And, a reminder that our wall hangings and table runners are now available in 'pattern only' form, as well as kits! (link below)

Beret Nelson's On The Trail Creations Blog PageBeret NelsonI am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing! After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now designing kits and patterns. Some of them have even been in Keepsake Quilting! I teach classes at local quilt shops, and am starting to do more traveling and teaching. I also have many tutorials, including some on YouTube.
