It's been pretty cold here this week, between -30 and -45 most of the time. Our most deadly weather is deceptively beautiful... calm and sunny! It's a great time to stay inside and get some things done. Our friend Dennie was here this week and helped pack up about 200 kits, refolded my fabric, edited my parenting "book", plus lots of other things! I'm getting close on the table runner kits too, hopefully soon. I recently made another "hip purse". The first one was great, but it also gave me some ideas to improve it. I did small box corners in this one to make more room, and added a zipper pocket and a small lip balm pocket on the inside. It's much more functional now! I still want to do a pattern for this too, in my spare time... :-)

Beret, Me again! Looking at some of your past posts and loved the purse--and am assuming you have yet to make a pattern. If my assumes are wrong please let me know. Also I have not seen a pattern for the first leaves on separate backgrounds. When my daughter-in-law saw that on your web she commented of its beauty--she is not a quilt-person and I would love to make her one sorta like yours for Christmas. Can you be any help--I know the two leaves are on on a card but the leaves in the banner are divided--do you just cut and then sew back together? Thanks for any help! Blessings, Rose
