![]() Welcome to the new generation of fanny packs! I needed something like this for a recent trip, so I searched on Pinterest and found quite a few new and improved fanny packs. They were called belt bags, or hip bags, hip purses, maybe more things...I was able to use a UFO from a Kindle case I had started and was too small, so the decorative work was already done. It ended up being so handy! I have been wearing skirts more often, so I think I will even use this at home to put my phone in, maybe my reading glasses. There is room for my wallet for shopping, boy was that nice! I have a few modifications I want to make for the next one, then maybe I will try to do a pattern. There are endless ways to customize them, with fabric, belt material, belt buckles, pockets, size and shape, decorations, they can be as casual or dressy as you like. The basic design is really quick and easy to make! You could make several and use the same belt for all of them, or make matching belts. If I get a pattern done, I will try to remember to put a link in this post!
