I just wrote this on my home page, but I decided to put it here too. I've been making quilted cards by the bazillion for several years, and people seem to love them, but I haven't seen anyone else making them. Who wants to help me start a new trend? :-) They are similar to mug rugs, which people do make, but I think they have a few advantages. They make a nice gift by themselves, you can use more 3-D objects like buttons, beads, or silk flowers on them, and no one spills coffee on your artwork! (I do make coasters and mug rugs too though:-)) To see what I have so far for patterns, click here!
I am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing. After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now starting to design kits and patterns Some of these are now available from Keepsake Quilting also. I teach classes at a local quilt shop, The Material Girls, and would love to do more traveling and teaching eventually. I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am surrounded by the inspiration provided by the beauty of God's creation!
