Years ago I made and sold these moose bibs. I have been wanting to make a pattern/kit for them, but the fabric I used for the antlers (which is also what goes around the baby's neck to attach it) is no longer available, and I haven't been able to find a replacement! It was fleece on one side, and a kind of suede like fabric on the other. This made it stable enough to just cut it out without having to finish the edges, which would be a huge pain for such a weird shape. It was also soft and washable. Does anyone have any ideas what I could use, or how to do this? I have thought of felt, maybe even two layers, I'm just not sure how that would hold up in the wash... Help!!
(And there was a boy one too :-) )
I am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing. After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now starting to design kits and patterns Some of these are now available from Keepsake Quilting also. I teach classes at a local quilt shop, The Material Girls, and would love to do more traveling and teaching eventually. I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am surrounded by the inspiration provided by the beauty of God's creation!
