I was trying to think of a way to make slightly overcooked leftover broccoli more appetizing than it was otherwise going to be... I put it in the blender with homemade chicken stock, and, what do you know? It's really good! I imagine it could be done with other veggies as well, or other types of stock. I didn't even heat it up when I made it, because it was going to make more than I was going to eat, so I blendered it and only heated what I wanted. Two ingredients and about two minutes :-)
I am a homeschooling mom of three fun kids, who are now old enough that I have a little time to pursue my passion for sewing. After several years of making quilted cards and art quilts, I'm now starting to design kits and patterns Some of these are now available from Keepsake Quilting also. I teach classes at a local quilt shop, The Material Girls, and would love to do more traveling and teaching eventually. I am blessed to live in Alaska where I am surrounded by the inspiration provided by the beauty of God's creation!
